Liverpool are in the market for a goalkeeper that can challenge Simon Mignolet’s claim to be the Reds number one.
One of those targets is the Cardiff shotstopper David Marshall, who has been impressive for the relegation threated team throughout the season.
Marshall has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Barclays Premier League this season, and Liverpool are set to test the Welsh club’s resolve by making a 6 million bid in the summer.
Mignolet has been underperforming as of late for the Reds and they are looking at Marshall to challenge Mignolet for a starting eleven berth in the side.
Cardiff City are currently fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, and look increasingly likely to be relegated back to the championship next season, making it more likely that Marshall will want to leave the Welsh capital.
